PR Manager (m/f/d)

MAIN PURPOSE

The Press Relations Manager (m/f/d) will be responsible for the execution of the global integrated Press and Public Relations strategies to execute regional, and local activations for the Maison Jaeger-LeCoultre. Responsible for the geographical region of Northern Europe with a focus on Germany, Netherlands and Scandinavia, Austria, Eastern Europe Countries, the Press Relations Manager (m/f/d) will leverage the strategy of the global communication plan including print, digital, new and traditional media, to convey brand storytelling, execute global PR strategy locally and ensure a consistent brand image is delivered.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Press Relation Management
  • Boost storytelling editorial coverage and Maison visibility in top-tier lifestyle and trendsetting titles to achieve respective DMR-ranking results
  • Enhance brand awareness and visibility for future Boutique openings and main local strategic key activations
  • Manage press relation budget
  • Build local PR action plan aligned with global PR overview and PR calendar
  • Nurture and drive qualitative relationship with press to ensure a strong coverage and further develop the brand awareness in the region
  • Coordinate all launches and key activations, by sharing press material, meeting press on a regular basis and ensure successful results
  • Plan, organize and follow-up of national press activations as local press event formats, manufacture visits and inviting journalists to international key moments  
  • Create qualitative presentation and reporting
  • Manage press related translations

 

 

  1. Public Relation Management
  • Engage with trendsetter community, watch opinion leaders’ (WOL) community and influencers to position the Maison and increase awareness
  • Identify and reach out to our different audiences outside core universe to strengthen the identity of our Maison
  • Identify the key trends on the watch scene, as well as influential persons with relevant connection to the Maison

 

 

  1. Consultancy on local Media performances
  • Assist Head of Marketing and Communication with coop media activation execution with external key strategy partners
  • Support on invoicing processes and alignment with external media agency

 

  • Consultant Head of Marketing & Communication on building the communication plan
  • Manage media related translations (ads / newsletters / websites …)

 

 

 

  1. Budget Responsibility
  • Analysis and optimization of A&P budgets for press relations and media
  • Monthly monitoring for Head of Marketing & Communications and controlling department
  • Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly closings respective regular updates (Les and BUs)

 

 

  1. Administrative and Invoicing management:
  • Press and communication vendor creation and extensions for new or existing suppliers
  • PO management in SAP linked to invoices on respective press and communication projects
  • Shipping and coordination management of watches for press shootings following Richemont security guidelines
  • Invoice Management for press and public relation related projects
  • Support Headquarter for international press shootings taking place in our region

  • Geographical area under responsibility: RNE zone
  • 1 Headcount professionally supervised
  • International work environment within a team of 4 Headcounts

 

QUALIFICATION PROFILE:

  • University/ business school Graduate, PR/Communications degree greatly appreciated
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English both written and spoken; knowledge of any other foreign language is greatly appreciated
  • Professional experience – minimum 5 years- in public relations, in both traditional and interactive PR channels
  • Strong verbal, communications, and interpersonal skills; proactive, positive and open-minded working attitude
  • Proven ability to communicate efficiently, convince team members/ partners and ability to lead change with a passion for thoroughness and accuracy
  • Sense of ownership and accountability with a flexible mind-set and quick adaptability
  • Very strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data into concrete actions
  • Organized, pragmatic, able to manage & build from scratch new projects and leading cross-functional teams
