Commercial Director – Jaeger-LeCoultre

 

MAIN PURPOSES:

Reporting to Managing Director, Middle East, India, Africa and Turkey, and being an Exco member in the region, the Commercial Director is responsible for the omnichannel sales and distribution for the Maison in the region, oversees and develops both internal and external network performance and profitability in line with Maison’s strategy and identity.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commercial Strategy and Performance:

  • Play a pivotal role in building the regional commercial strategy and roadmap
  • Develop omnichannel distribution and network evolution strategy to leverage business opportunities across the region
  • Actively contribute in building the long-term business plan and quarterly business reviews
  • Set realistic and ambitious sales targets across the networks
  • Analyze the market KPIs and identify priority actions to achieve targets and business growth. Provide regular updates and business analysis on commercial performance
  • Manage assortment strategy across all distribution channels to achieve ambitious targets
  • Collaborate closely with HQ on strategic initiatives that contribute to brand equity for the region and its markets 

Internal retail network management:

  • Lead the internal boutiques network to achieve the sales target and deliver sustainable growth
  • Increase the retail expertise: Develop and lead action plans to ensure the right teams are in place, properly trained, with adequate incentives and processes to deliver operational excellence
  • Measure retail KPIs at boutique and individual level, define action plans to improve KPIs
  • Develop and implement action plans to grow local and VIC clients. Build direct relationships with VVIC. Ensure the boutiques are properly animated to attract new clients and connect with existing clients

External network management:

  • Partner with distributors to develop the sales and the equity of the Maison in different markets
  • Build strong relationships with partners and drive commercial action plans (i.e., assortment, training, performance management, boutique animation, incentives) to support the development of the Maison
  • Closely monitor and report on the key sales data (i.e., Sell in, Sell out, stock)
  • Manage the distribution in each market (i.e., external boutiques and watch specialists) including leading business development initiatives optimize network value. Open, close and renovate doors to maintain a profitable and qualitative network

Team Management & Talent Development

  • Inspire, coach and manage boutique, wholesale and training colleagues to create a passionate and efficient working environment
  • Develop and implement the retail training strategy
  • Work closely with HR to develop career paths and grow the retail talent
  • Nurture the retail culture and diffuse a strong Retail mindset in the region
  • Foster new ideas that bring added value to the Maison by providing cohesive and entrepreneurial environment

ABOUT YOU:

  • A total of 10 to15 years’ commercial experience including direct responsibility of leading retail and wholesale businesses
  • Excellent people skills: capacity to develop and nurture strong relationships with teams and partners, and ability to inspire, develop and coach teams. Team player
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills giving you the ability to develop, adapt and communicate a strategy
  • Result driven and commercial mindset
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with dynamic and proactive approach to find effective solutions with critical thinking
