MAIN PURPOSE

The purpose of the position is to build up client data foundation, provide insightful analytics and effective action plan for the Maison, which covers, but is not limited to, preliminary architecture of the central client database, client insight exploration, data application into digital innovations.

 

Deeply understanding the uniqueness and strong demands of personalization in the luxury industry, with solid knowledge on data architecture and analytics, digital application and approaches, this role should be able to integrate the advanced data technology and digital initiatives to achieve high-quality and agile data foundation, support actionable decision making, and reach ultimate seamless client experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Key responsibility 1 – Client data foundation

-           Assess and consolidate database from different sources, both internal data warehouse and external data collection

-           Identify the gap between business requirement and data architecture and propose solution to resolve or shorten the gap

-           Ensure the optimization and agility of the data model to be able to incorporate different applications

-           Work with IT and group digital team, from business angle and in secured and compliant way, on data architecture optimization, database extension and application implementation

  • Key responsibility 2 – Client insight exploration

-           Develop advanced analytics and statistics to support functional and industry applications. E.g. client unique identification, life value assessment, cross-selling / up-selling, client retention and predictive behavior, etc.

-           Enhance regular dashboard and tracking reports in order to bring a simple and clear view of client insight to stakeholders

  • Key responsibility 3 – Data application in digital innovations

-           Shape and lead the large-scale data application projects, be integrated with various digital solutions

-           Work with retail, e-commerce, CRM, client service, IT and digital teams to detect data opportunities to tackle operational pain-points

-           Provide data support via the digital tools to the sales person on the field to empower their personalized relationship with clients

-           Follow digital technologies and trends to identify the areas for business value generation and the opportunities for data innovation

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education Qualifications:

  • University degree in MIS, Statistics or related discipline

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in data science, analytics, digital application, database marketing, eCommerce, or digital innovation
  • Enthusiast with the state of the art data and digital trends
  • Excellent business understanding and deep knowledge on the major DMP (e.g.BAT)
  • Highly analytical and data sensitive, with ability to generate business insights from analytics related data.
  • Adaptable to change and uncertainty with the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, start-up, and multicultural environment.

 

Qualification and Competencies Request:

 

Minimum    

  • Degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research). Advanced degrees preferred.
  • 3+ years of scripting experience with one of these languages (R, Python)
  • 3+ years of SQL experience or other programming languages
  • 3+ years of data mining/analytics experience
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • The ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner
  • Experience doing quantitative analysis
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis

 

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs Expert in statistical tool like R, Python, SQL.
  • Skilled in both written and spoken English and Chinese Mandarin
