Boutique Manager

Delvaux | Toronto, ON, CAN

 

Role Overview

Responsible for overall management of boutique, associates, merchandise and customer service.  The Boutique Manager is the Delvaux Ambassador, responsible for promoting the brand to clients & partners.  Also responsible for achieving sales objectives, store profitability goals, achieving and maintaining high operation and merchandising standards, building highly motivated teams and developing associates.

 

 

Responsibilities

Brand promotion:

  • Participates to develop the notority of the house and to build brand awareness in market - Embodies Delvaux in the city
  • Builds and develops a network of people who have an impact on local, national and international luxury business in order to promote customer loyalty, especially with top clients and VIPs
  • Promotes the culture of the brand internally and externally
  • Ensures store atmosphere upholds brand image

Business development:

  • Develop store business plan to include marketing and promotional strategies that will continue to drive traffic to the store and develop and grow the customer base, with particular emphasis placed on building the local market
  • Be aware of the local market and business environment including competitors business activities and luxury goods market trends
  • Make recommendations for store renovations/upgrade/expansion etc in order to increase sales and market share

Sales Management:

  • Continuously motivate and coach sales associates to meet assigned sales & productivity goals.  Provide recognition for top Sales Associates
  • Demonstrate sales leadership for staff by playing an active role on the selling floor
  • Proactively manage the clienteling function in the store
  • Ensure that all associates are knowledgeable of all company products, company information and history.  Be up to date with company news
  • Ensure employees are provided with product knowledge to enhance and ensure cross-selling across categories
  • Provide feedback on product assortment, buying trends and customer requests

 

Team Management:

  • Identifies, recruits, develops and retains best in class talent
  • Coach, develop, motivate and challenges the team on a regular basis by:
    • creating a team spirit, team animation through regular meetings
    • sets individual objectives to each team member and support them in reaching them. Holds midterm evaluations and yearly formal evaluations.
  • Creates development plans for sales staff and management
  • Supervise store personnel and enforce company policies while adhering to proper procedure regarding disciplinary action

Operations:

  • Effective utilization of POS system and its inventory management functions
  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly qualitative and quantitative business reports as required by the CEO
  • Determine staffing needs and create staff schedules to ensure appropriate store coverage and match to traffic
  • Complete all store administration in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Profit and Loss responsibility for the store, with particular attention given to controllable expenses, sales plan and operating profit
  • Ensure compliance with all internal control procedures: maintain inventory accuracy
  • Maintain the highest standard of housekeeping and organization both on and off the sales floor
  • Perform other projects, as assigned

Customer Service:

  • Ensure the highest level of customer service every day and the greater selling ceremony
  • Support sales associates with After Sales Service issues, ie return, defective merchandise, repairs

Store Visuals:

  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and store condition as set forth by corporate visual department
  • Work with local freelancers to achieve goals of proper window installation and displays

 

 

 


Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years successful previous experience in a managerial role within the luxury field including Concession Store Experience.
  • Entrepreneur with experience of people management, coaching a team to build a high-performance culture – leader, dedicated to support and develop the team
  • Operationally strong, able to translate strategies into operational plans
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Commercially Minded with an extensive understanding of the Luxury Market with a strong background within Client Development and recruitment
