MAIN PURPOSE

In line with Chloé retail growth strategy, the Retail Executive ensures the brand’s buying, collection merchandising and training through efficient and creative collection assortments with the goal to maximise sell-through, optimize retail stock and achieve retail sales and margin objectives, in an appropriate manner for a luxury brand.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Merchandising & Buying

  • Responsible for the buying process for retail points of sale and the definition of an assortment strategy (all categories including licenses; 4 times a year in Paris)
  • Preparing buying tools to support retail buying (i.e. line sheet with core-offer, look books, window program, Press and advertising selection)
  • Responsible for the target stock and monthly forecast / replenishment of all categories
  • Responsible for allocation of seasonal & permanent stock and follow up on deliveries with sales admin team
  • Responsible for LEQ – BU purchases
  • Responsible for Sell through reports  & other ad hoc reports
  • Responsible for coordinating the mark-down policy, staff sales etc
  • Monitoring the boutique budgets and targets, supporting BM on achieving monthly and yearly turnover targets, discount policy and incentive programmes
  • Supporting overall retail business plan, budget and forecast process
  • Ensuring market intelligence, gathering information on competitors, pricing, market trends

 

Training

  • Developing and implementing product training programs to ensure all store personnel are trained on collections
  • Conducting regular boutiques visits to ensure continuous management control (sales staff, operational aspects, merchandising, etc.)

 

Supporting the retail network 

  • Monitoring Retail Cost center expenses: invoice validation, vendor creation in SAP, monitor spend v/s budget
  • Developing the contracts with the different vendors to ensure smooth operations at the boutique(water, stationary, maintenance, cleaning etc.).
  • Liaising with mall management for any operation issues (lease agreement renewal, storage renewal)
  • Liaising with Store planning team in Paris for the construction of new Point of Sales
  • Liaising with HQ on window installation as per timeline and guidelines

 

PROFILE

  • Education: Business school or equivalent
  • Required experience: Minimum 2-3 years experience in luxury fashion buying/merchandising/planning
  • Know How and technical skills: Number savvy, strong analytical skills, excellent excel skills
  • Languages: Fluent in English ( French and Arabic is a plus)
  • Behavioural competencies: charismatic, motivated and organized individual with strong eye for trends in the regional market and sensitivity to luxury women’s fashion
