[Cartier] Operations Director

MAIN PURPOSE: 

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Director will play a critically important role in leading and driving the Cartier Maison in Korea market. This role will be accountable for leading the network’s Supply Chain & Operations, ensuring the market’s success in driving sales and advancing the network’s capabilities to engage and meet the needs of the Cartier client.

 

As a member of the Executive Committee, this person must have proven experience successfully leading at the executive level and have demonstrated ability in managing diverse teams and functions. This role will be a critical partner within the Cartier Korea market, Richemont shared service functions, as well as with Cartier International & Group stakeholders. Bringing a deep expertise of Supply Chain & Operations to the Cartier Maison, this individual will be responsible for implementing new and emerging trends, strategies and best practices that will ultimately enhance and grow a well-established luxury retail business.

 

Key Responsibility 1: Leadership of Supply Chain

  • Supervise and decide on the activities on Demand Planning according to the objectives of product availability and stock targets defined:
  • Distribution Planning & Merchandising:
    • Negotiate on assortments and macro inventory situation with Commercial teams on a regular basis to support sales ambition, service level to points of sale, assortments review.
    • Validate target stocks with Cartier Operations. Enrich initial proposal with local insights and market expertise.
    • product availability and allocation discrepancies between point of sales and across networks
  • Supervise Boutiques Stock Needs Evaluation:
    • Analyze Boutiques sales performance, stock movements and stock gap. Come up with an appropriate balancing and allocation plans.
    • Review with the team the Boutiques event planning, shopping mall, competitors’ stock/activities. Evaluate which event/Btq needs support, assess feasibility of stock requests. Liaise with Logistics to make sure necessary arrangements are taken on time.
    • Definition of seasonal stock increase actions between Merchandisers, Store Planners, Logistic & commercial network
  • Stock Order Management:
    • Supervise timely feedback from the team to boutiques enquiries & proper tracking of firm orders and staff sales orders until completion, for both daily business and events.
    • Challenge Commerciale Teams on the cancellation rate, reservation quantities

 

Key Responsibility 2: Business & Data Solutions

  • Lead COE to enable, enrich and accelerate transversal data projects, tools & processes in order to better support the data business needs across the Maison.
  • Provide all Cartier Korea teams with access to organized, reliable, mapped and up to date data according to their business needs
  • Ensure proper implementation and compliance of Data Governance rules
  • Accompany the deployment of data analysis tools within Cartier Korea to ensure all teams extract the best value out of the available data to use as enablers for end-user analysis and decision making.
  • Be the reference point for all Cartier Korea data related topics. Influence, push and lead data evolution for the region.  
  • Build strategic vision for the data management and usage in Cartier Korea. Ensure the proper development, maintenance of Cartier Korea innovation and data project roadmap incorporating global picture and local market priorities. Share updates with EXCO and Key Stakeholders.
  • Leverage HQ & Richemont capabilities and resources accordingly.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and identification of emerging trends and new tools on innovation & data topics to influence future implementations and support further growth.

JOB PROFILE

Education: Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

Required Experience: 10+ years senior level experience

Technical Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Deeply understands and prioritizes the Cartier client (current and target); serves as the emblem for a superior Cartier client experience; creates and introduces innovative new services, strategies and programs to reflect the brand and engage the customer in distinctive and compelling ways
  • Experience supporting growth through transparency, consistency, and disciplined execution. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet organizational timelines in a fast paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience in working transversally with all key functions in a market/HQ 
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
  • Effective, versatile and action-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills experience in the consumer products industry a must
  • Proven ability to work with all levels of management
  • Strong team working and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a cross functional team
