MAIN PURPOSE

At Cartier Japan Store Design and Planning, we are building a team that is instrumental to accelerate our network transformation. We are seeking highly collaborative and experienced Head who has a strong leadership and shares an interest in design, construction, and innovation.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Scope

  • Japan Region
  • Current scope: Retail and Wholesale projects management (new openings & renovation), BOH and maintenance, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) management
  • Additional & future scope : + Network Planning, , Real Estate and lease management
  • Possible additional scope:  Visual Merchandising

 

Current Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of project managers, cost control manager, coordinators.
  • Lead, nurture, recruit and retain the talents
  • Be an ambassador of the Maisons’ values and embodies the excellence of our design
  • Defines with the team the brief of the boutiques and the technical feasibility
  • Supervises the project managers whose scope is to deliver Point of Sales with flawless quality, in budget and in time (design development, tender and construction phases)
  • Ensure a perfect maintenance of the network and optimize costs’ implications
  • Create capital plan:  own construction and related budgets
  • Establish short and long term strategies, develop processes (budget, procurement, planning…), strive for constant quality improvement
  • Nurture vendors’ network and ensure full compliance
  • Apply CSR strategy and develop local approach
  • Communicate and report to partners and top management

 

Interaction Model

  • Local internal: Commercial department (including BTQs and Travel Retail), Marketing & Communication, Finance + Richemont support functions (HR, security, accounting, procurement, IT, etc.)
  • Local External: Architects & Designers, Engineers, Design consultants, Contractors, suppliers, etc.
  • HQ: Commercial, SDP, VM, Retail experience, Client Department, etc.

 

PROFILE

 

  • Experienced in luxury store design & planning
  • Technical background in construction & maintenance’s field required
  • People management experience is required
  • Fluency in English and Japanese. French is a plus
  • Able to handle legal & procurement in Japanese
  • Strong experience in project management (quality, budget & planning)
  • Experiences in communicating and negotiating with HQ or global stakeholders
  • Leadership, proactivity, communicative, multicultural, strategize, deliver, exemplarity, thoroughness
  • Architecture or engineering educational background
  • Experience at least 15 years
  • Industry: Open for inhouse and agency
