MAIN PURPOSE

Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will manage and promote Cartier brand image and brand equity in Singapore and Malaysia through media, press and public relations, defining the most relevant local strategy, adapting international guidelines.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 Communication strategy & budget

  • Lead and elaborate the communication strategy to elevate brand equity, focusing on desirability
  • Lead implacable execution of the defined communication strategy and proactively propose optimization when needed
  • Promote the brand image at the highest standard when communicating to third parties
  • Represent the brand in local activities when necessary
  • Participate in various events organized by media and non-competing third parties in order to gain access to market insights & networks
  • Consolidate and follow up the overall Communication budget

 

Team management

  • Manage a team of 8 members in Singapore: Media manager, Digital communication executive, Events  Manager, PR manager, PR executive, VM Manager, VM executive and 1 in Malaysia: MY communication manager
  • Display team leadership, delegate and coach the team members to make the most of their expertise, and deliver clear, straight-forward and impactful briefs & reports
  • Facilitate collaboration with various departments across the organization to optimize actions
  • Communicate expectations before activations of the plans as well as post-activation results

 

 Media

  • Formulate the media strategy according to the brand strategic direction
  • Supervise the media team in media planning & media plan follow-up throughout the year with the media agency
  • Manage relationship with media agency
  • Negotiate and leverage advertising power with impactful editorial, i.e. secure high levels of editorial coverage online / offline

 

 

Events

  • Build the event planning taking into account worldwide planning and local strategy
  • Supervise the event project manager in organizing the events with the highest standards and in line with brand guideline
  • Work on a 360 degrees approach in all events (pre/post coverage, events report, best practices, key learnings) with details reporting and action plan

 

PR

  • Define the influencers strategy based on brand ambitions and needs, leading to the identification of relevant influencers for Cartier locally and a specific action plan
  • Maintain constant communication and relationship with KOL, key press managers & chief editors
  • Supervise the PR team to ensure press releases dissemination, corporate and commercial stories coverage, events maximal exposure (international and local activities)…

 

 

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • At least 12-15 years of relevant work experience in Communications & PR, including a minimum of 5 years experience in management
  • Familiarity with luxury / retail segment is preferred
  • Proven track record in adopting 360˚ approach towards Communication plans (offline and online)
  • Proven track record in multi-tasking environment, working in a matrixed organisation
  • Independent and resourceful with excellent network among related fields
  • Languages: English, Mandarin. French is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS office, analytical tools, production, and able to comprehend autocad files
