JOB TITLE         Senior Event Executive

 

REPORTING TO       Assistant Event Manager

 

LOCATION         Shanghai

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Senior Event Executive is a supporting role in the event team. This person will work on various projects, and in multiple aspects, to help to ensure that the projects will be delivered in accordance to the standard of the brand.

 

 

MAIN PURPOSE

 

To support Assistant Event Manager to develop, produce and deliver events based on the need of the brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Key responsibility 1 –
    • Support Assistant Event Manager to develop and execute PR events in areas including, but not limited to:

 

  • Co-ordinate with internal departments and external parties for event planning and implementation.

 

  • Identify appropriate vendors, negotiate service contracts and supervise their work.

 

  • Create project timelines, follow-through event production, logistic control, hospitality and event management.

 

  • Key responsibility 2 –
    • To handle small to medium scale events independently under the supervision of Assistant Event Manager.

 

  • Key responsibility 3 –
    • Supervise Event Co-ordinator to handle some of the event team administrative works including budget updating, YTD checking, PO issuing, payment settlement, monthly accrual, stock requisition and filing, etc.

 

  • Key responsibility 4 –
    • Coach event executive when applicable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in event management or event related roles in an event agency or in-house event department.

 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Possess a sense of urgency, problem-solving skill and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and is proactive with work.

 

  • Good at using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.

  • Internal contacts:
    • The Senior Event Executive will work closely with other teams and departments, mostly the communication team and the commercial team.
