MAIN PURPOSE

 

The purpose of the position is to manage the strategy and execution of key strategic lines within Jewellery category, and be responsible for implementation of local marketing strategy in line with these objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Key responsibility 1 – BU & Strategic plan

Identify business opportunities for dedicated Jewellery collections and contribute in buildup of Sales budget plan and Strategy planning

 

Set roadmap for long-term vision and actionable plans for maison’s strategic priorities and adapt to local market needs

  • Key responsibility 2 – Product Strategy & Projects

Base on maison strategic direction, client-centric mindset & fact-supported analysis, define efficient action plans of in-charged lines with support from line manager

 

Lead on local strategy and derive integrated action plans with all stakeholders. Drive and ensure effective project implementation with constantly tracking and review

  • Key responsibility 3 – Sales Forecast (in-range & novelties)

Access and define new products sales potential with key benchmarking analysis, versus competitions and market needs

 

Collaborate with local and central teams in regular forecast planning with the goal to achieve business target and ensure healthy visibility for all collections in-charged

 

Align assortment with merchandising team to rollout in most efficient networks

  • Key responsibility 4 – Competition, Customer insights & Market analysis

 

Identify opportunities and come up with action plans based on market analysis on regular basis

  • Key responsibility 5 – Sales Analysis and Actions Proposals

Supervise and ensure high quality of sales review and analysis, monthly, yearly, ad-hoc, etc.

Propose short term and long term action plan

  • Key responsibility 6 – Team management & Coaching

Coach and develop supervised headcount, develop team member to be competent, commercially astute, dedicated and efficient, with client centric mindset

 

 

DIMENSION: 

 

  • Headcount supervised: 2

 

  • Strong functional line of reporting with Jewellery & Accessories Associate Director
  • Liaise with Communications, Merchandising, CRM, ER, Retail, Logistics, VM and Learning & Development teams to implement strategic action plans

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field; post graduate / MBA is preferred
  • In-depth analytical thinking and business analysis

 

Experience:

  • 6-7 years of professional experience working for a reputable multinational company (hold the marketing position of senior executive / supervisor / assistant brand or product manager for at least 2 years in 1 company)
  • Previous role must demonstrate strength with regards to detailed quantitative analysis, interpretation of data and report generation
  • Must demonstrate ability to work across functions with strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience with team supervision would be a plus
  • Preference for experience in (1) Luxury industry but with strong data analysis/forecasting roles and responsibilities (proven Jewellery experience in luxury industry is most preferred) (2) Business Strategy Consulting (3) FMCG / beauty industry but with understanding and appreciation of luxury marketing insights

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including data analysis functions) and Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Positive attitude and strong team player
  • Self-starter, takes initiative and capable of working independently
  • Luxury & beauty sense

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Proven integrated marketing experience (brand building, brand development, product, communication) is a plus
