POSITION TITLE:            MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER – HAINAN

REPORTING TO:             MANAGING DIRECTOR - HAINAN

LOCATION:                    HAINAN


POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing & Communications Manager will oversee the marketing and communications strategy for Hainan market and its effective implementation with the objective of positioning Cartier as the No.1 luxury Maison in the network in terms of brand appeal and client experience.  He/she should ensure marketing initiatives also support business objectives set for Cartier Hainan.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

 

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS TOWARDS CHINESE TRAVELERS

Bond and engage with Chinese travelers in Hainan to enhance Maison’s awareness and desirability.

- Develop annual marketing plan with 360 activations i.e. across Communications, VM, CRM, Events, Products catering to the specific image and business needs of each point of sales in Hainan

- Engage Chinese travelers throughout their journey in Hainan with communication messages and client experiences relevant to travelers’ expectations  

- Identify qualitative local communication platforms to elevate Maison’s image and maximize brand awareness

- Liaise with Cartier China to ensure synergy in terms of communication plans and continuity of engagement with Travelers when they are back to their home country

- Collaborate closely with Partners to amplify marketing efforts and with Central team to ensure consistency with Maison’s global image  

- Stay informed and continuously learn from the Chinese media ecosystem and communication practices to propose new initiatives


COMMUNICATIONS TOWARDS TRAVEL RETAIL & CHINESE PRESS  

Boost Cartier’s visibility and equity through publicity

- Develop and maintain close relationships with Travel Retail and Chinese media, providing regular updates on Cartier happenings in Hainan e.g. store openings, events, pop-ups, campaigns etc.
- Develop press content for Cartier Hainan marketing activations and push the information to the TR and Chinese media community.


MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS BUDGET CO - MANAGEMENT

Oversee and monitor marketing & communications budget for Hainan market

- Develop budget proposal to RAPL


MARKETING TEAM MANAGEMENT 

Manage & lead Client & Service Manager, Trade Marketing Coordinator (Event, VM) & Marketing Executive

- Ensure strong collaboration across different marketing functions 

- Train and develop team members to maximize team capability


PROFILE & REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Education: University graduate in Marketing or Communications   
Professional Experience:  +8 years’ experience in Marketing & Communications in Luxury Retail/Media Agency

Required competencies:

- Strategic thinking, with capacity to manage complexity and multiple stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent communication and writing skills in both Chinese & English 
- Extensive knowledge of the Chinese media ecosystem and communication channels
- Strong collaborative spirit
- Enthusiastic and engaged
- High level of integrity and loyalty
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously

Languages:
- Native in Mandarin
- Fluent in English
