MAIN PURPOSE

 

The purpose of the position is to develop the strategy of accessories category and be responsible for the implementation of local marketing plan in line with these objectives. This Accessories Assistant Manager will need to oversee on accessories category including (leather goods, objects eyewear).

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

STRATEGIC & MARKETING PLANNING

 

  • Be a key driving force in Cartier Accessories strategic plan definition
  • Build and engage stakeholders on actionable marketing plans to reach business goals (assortment, calendar, promotional support) for different business network
  • Prepare and monitor yearly Marketing calendar
  • Actions implementation and review, coordinate the creation of tools and event, to implement the marketing plan by network, in compliance with international guidelines.
  • Prepare marketing plan to local and international stake holders on category strategic orientations, novelties presentations, sales arguments…

 

SALES FORECASTING

 

  • Access and define new products sales potential with key benchmarking analysis, versus competitions and market needs
  • Collaborate with local and central teams in regular forecast planning with the goal to achieve business target and ensure healthy visibility for all collections in-charged
  • Align assortment with merchandising team to rollout in most efficient networks

 

MARKET COMPREHENSION

 

  • Identify key / relevant competitors and understand their strategy (product offer, distribution strategy, price positioning, communication strategy)
  • Understand and share industry insights and news (press, websites, online/ offline activations)

 

PRODUCT CATEGORY MANAGEMENT & COLLABORATION

  • Close monitoring on business performance, build and implement actions to reach business targets
  • Co-Build and follow-up communication budget by discipline and line, following international guidelines, in collaboration with Marketing Director in HQ and China
  • Co-Build the communication plan on accessories with Local Com team; analyze competition
  • Collaboration with VM local teams ensure Cartier boutiques VM fragrance forecast/ implementation and local productions
  • Collaboration with E-commerce team, support e-partners and internal network, with adequate assortment, tools, assets and animations activity
  • Coordinate with local team on PR plan for accessories in China
  • Coordinate events for major launches in collaboration with Events department
  • Collaboration with L&D teams, build and roll out training program, ensure trainings on strategic launches & novelties, retail university/e-learning

 

BUDGET / REPORTING

  • Build sell-in budget by product line; propose action plans to reach targeted budget; revise budget for official LE; analyze sales performance on monthly basis, by network
  • Closely follow-up the sell-out performance vs. budget
  • Prepare monthly feedback for China Ex-Co & HQ
  • Prepare 360° launch reports
  • Coordinate with central and local finance, and other budget stakeholders

 

COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related fields
  • 5-6 years of professional experience, preferably with international luxury/ consumer goods company
  • Previous role must demonstrate strength with regards to detailed quantitative analysis, interpretation of data and report generation
  • Ability to work across functions with strong people skills
  • Strong command of both written and spoken English and Mandarin
  • Strong analytical skills and logical thinking
  • Startup spirit & result-driven
  • Strong agility and learning capability
  • Detail-oriented and precise, patient
  • Digital savvy, stay curious in new emerging marketing matrix, interested in and has a general command of Online/Digital marketing (social media, etc)

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including data analysis functions) and Microsoft Powerpoint
