REPORTING TO    Cartier China Marketing and Communication Director 
& functional to International Creation Communication Director

 

LOCATION       Shanghai

 

JOB DESCRIPTION
To consolidate Cartier’s Image in China, and in consistency with the International strategy, the Creative Content Associate Director will design & develop necessary China-relevant content, including but not limiting to the implementation of integrated communications campaigns, seasonal campaigns, Ecommerce (all platforms), press & social, livestreams for Cartier China, together with International Content team (co-construction model).
All purpose: Corporate, products all Categories.   

 

MAIN PURPOSE
To be the custodian of Cartier Image in China, ensuring consistence of content outputs.
Act as a Hub for Cartier Brand Content head quarter to develop knowledge on Chinese audience and platforms. 
Build pool of creative local talents around the Maison.(local agencies, designers, photographs …)
Close collaboration with Cartier head quarter Content team through co-construction work model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key responsibility 1 – Reinforce overall relevancy of communication program in China
-    Examine the overall Intl brand contents assets to identify powerful story angles that resonate with the Chinese audience and build even more compelling programs. 
-    Adapt / Translate campaigns positioning when necessary to insure it resonates with the audience
-    Provide Market / Chinese audience Insights 
-    Create and design  appropriate Briefs to agencies when necessary
-    Ensure consistence of locally-produced Cartier content across touchpoints including but not limiting to Media/ advertising, press releases, press shootings, Ecommerce and Social media.


    Key responsibility 2 – Manage & develop necessary China-relevant content, in consistency with International strategy and content. 
-    To identify and aligned on the agreed content projects for the full year
-    To identify & recommend agency/production house/media for agreed content projects
-    To brief, follow up and follow through on the agreed content projects with the identified party
-    Ensure quality output as per Cartier’s Image standard 
-    Develop project with HQ based on co-construction model
-    Plan & ensure output of the content for timely implementation by the various teams


    Key responsibility 3 – Drive Cartier China social media platforms 
-    To define the Cartier social persona, social voice, in close collaboration with HQ.
-    To define the content strategy and to identify the content needs for each platform.
-    To define the channel strategy to increase performance of existing ones and integrate the relevant new ones
-    To define the editorial social calendar including the brand moments and the Brand moves
-    To drive the social agency.

    Key responsibility 4 – Content library & assets development – Eservices focus
-    Supervise the development of a library of qualitative Assets – (products and sales oriented) to ensure regular update and refresh of Cartier China eservices platform. (BtoB and BtoC platforms)  
-    Project to co-construct with local Eservice team.

 

    Key responsibility 5 – Local Creative talent Hub development & Management  
-    Work with key internal teams & HQ to optimize content usage
-    To identify, seek out & manage a portfolio of agencies which could range from full fledge communications campaign, social-only campaigns, key visuals, simple photography or videos etc. 
-    Develop direct connections with Artists, Designers, Studios and photographs (….) 
-    Ensure a good portfolio of agencies/production houses which could have specialize areas such as good technical know-how, locally ecommerce content & consumers-flow know-how

 

    Key responsibility 6 – Budget & Admin  
-    Define and monitor the Budget of content creation. 
-    Put in place process to ensure full compliance collaboration with external partners

  

DIMENSION: 

    Headcount supervised: 7

    Experience: 
-    Senior managing position in brand content teams, Artistic direction, Chief strategic planning, publishers
-    Senior Production capabilities
-    Deep understanding of Luxury business and consumer journeys
-    Deep understanding of Social media ecosystem  
    Chinese Mandatory, English Mandatory, French is a plus
