MAIN PURPOSE

The Strategic Merchandising Senior Manager will expedite the development of the merchandising function, which was formerly managed by the existing Cartier marketing team, to better align with the business objectives of the 1st class maison. This role entails the strategic management of key product pillars across the entire network, ensuring optimal placement and timing. Consequently, the incumbent will be instrumental in maximizing Cartier's business through close collaboration with the commercial, operations, marketing communication, and client divisions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Amplify 360 strategic product management to enable long-term growth

 

l  Collaborate with the supply chain management team and visual experience team to improve product visibility in general and sales productivity by implementing precise forecasting and assortment planning, aiming to maximize sales potential.

l  Enhance the visibility of strategically focused product by optimizing merchandising composition upon each BTQ’s profile

l  Supervise monthly/weekly product allocation and optimization of stock levels

l  Provide sales history insights and benchmark references for annual novelty forecast to enlarge the business potential and leverage existing products

l  Collaborate with marketers to enhance the brand’s status through product-centric brand experiences and communication activations

 

 

Lead sales forecast management for entire Cartier Korea by product by network

Product: Jewellery / Watch/ LACC & Perfume

Network: Retail / Travel Retail / Specialist (Watch wholesale) / Ecom

 

l  Develop and manage the sales forecast of BU/LE by product by networks ensuring the brand’s sustainable growth 

l  Align 3-year sales ambition for key iconic Jewellery and Watch collections as part of the “Market Action Plan” with marketers.

l  Oversee and monitor monthly rolling sales forecasts by product by networks/BTQs taking agile actions to achieve macro topline goals

 

Intensify curated sales analysis fostering a performance-driven mindset

l  Conduct detailed Weekly / Monthly sales analysis to provide business context

l  Manage Looker analysis to gain deeper insight and support data-driven decision-making for business improvement

 

Manage price strategy

l  Oversee and validate pricing strategies to ensure market competitiveness and leadership

l  Collaborate with marketers for price positioning in icon collections

Professional Requirements

§   University graduate

§   12-15 years + related experience in luxury fashion merchandising

§   Positive attitude to draw favorable collaboration from colleagues & logical thinking to convince stakeholders

§   Fluent in both Korean & English
