MISSION 

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Director to add value to our growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities & synergizing within existing commercial networks. In order to create an ultimate synergy within the Organization, a startup mindset and great leadership skills are required.  The ideal candidate will also be a creative strategist with excellent organizational savvy.  He/She will lead and support the roll out of all transversal projects and will be the point of main sponsor for all commercial projects within the region and HQ.  

 

MAIN PURPOSE

Reporting to the Managing Director and being a member of local Executive Committee, the Commercial Director is tasked with translating the global brand strategy to meet the specific market opportunities across all networks. Specifically, this person leads the commercial team to drive sales, with relevant strategies and performance-driven culture.

The Commercial Director ensures the move towards an omnichannel commercial ecosystem with a strong development on local e-com, enhance Luxury New Retail and operational & service excellence. He/she creates a superior and consistent experience for the Cartier client across all commercial touch points.

 

He/she is responsible for maintaining and championing the core values of the Maison while attracting, developing and inspiring a team of top talents. The Commercial Director partners closely with all stakeholders and teams across all networks contributing to all business pillars including marketing & communication and Operations.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Network Strategy

  • Build the commercial part of the strategic 3year sales plans with Commercial community. 
  • Lead the Network Development strategy to leverage relevant business opportunities and oversee the Development with clear roadmap. 
  • Contribute to the branding strategy by constantly elevating the brand perception amongst existing and new potential clients at each commercial touch points. 
  • Act as a local expert by developing a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, surrounding community and important events, trends, etc. and constantly share them within the Organization  

 

Commercial Performance

  • Build strong relationship with commercial teams to help enhance the commercial performance and excellence … including sales integration & synergy with HE team.
  • Set an ambitious yet realistic sales targets across the network and monitor the progress
  • Analyze the KPIs and identify priority actions to achieve targets and business growth
  • Monitor the network’s P&L

 

High End Business Development

  • Beyond the figures, understand the gravity of HE business as true branding tool, support and synergize with HE team, for the development of 4 HE boutiques as backbone of Korea HE business.
  • In cooperation with the High-End team, lead the development of the HE community grooming process. 
  • Ensure the definition and implementation of the local HE strategy integrating to retail operation & event, incentive scheme and staffs evaluation and development
  • Client development and branding initiatives in cooperation with Marketing & Communication teams

 

Client Development

  • Contribute to the overall Client strategy by providing commercial performance insights and identifying the relevant client communities
  • Infuse client-centric and omnichannel mindset amongst all the commercial teams with the priority objective of improving client experience, loyalty & recruitment
  • In coordination with the Client Department, ensure development of relevant boutique clienteling initiatives, CRM capabilities and implementation of client portfolio management across all the network
  • Ensure that the Maison’s standards in terms of client experience (Client Barometer results) are respected and known throughout the network
  • Lead initiatives to permanently elevate & enrich the client journey in a relevant way
  • Represent and act as an Ambassador of the Maison and the Region during international and local events and with VIP clients

 

E-commerce & CRC & CS

  • Build a strategy to develop e-commerce
  • Contribute to identify opportunities with Richemont teams, Cartier central teams & local communication teams to further enhance e-commerce client experience, notably through delivery lead time reductions & optimization of digital media investment
  • Oversee Client Relations Center management and operations to ensure seamless client journey across omnichannel network
  • Oversee not only inbound AS but also outbound CS marketing program

 

Team Management & Leadership, Talent Management & Development

  • Work on proper projects allocation
  • Performance appraisal, training needs for your team, career development etc.
  • Lead and develop team members, providing daily coaching w/ close follow-up on projects & objectives
  • Create learning environment and continuous improvement mindset. Ensure strong connection between the team and the field
  • Position the department as an omnichannel entity, pivot in the organization
  • Enforce digital transformation to optimize overall operations and maximize every team member added value for the organization
  • Develop and attract a high-performing team
  • Constantly share the vision, strategy and values of the Maison and engage all teams around them
  • Foster teamwork & creative culture
  • Actively participate in succession planning for all commercial teams

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Commercial Management

  • Functional depth in retail strategy and operations of meaningful scale
  • Core expertise in driving sales and creating a compelling in-store experience for the Luxury consumer, as well as leading and developing others across a multi-store network 
  • Understand clienteling evolution, client experience/service (inclusive of omni approach), talent development, and differentiated store experience
  • Performance management
  • Track record of delivering results in a Retail environment
  • A top and bottom-line focus

 

Customer Experience Innovator

  • Deeply understands and prioritizes the Cartier client (current and target)
  • Serves as the emblem for a superior Cartier client experience
