Main purpose

The key mission of the position to reinforce Cartier’s brand equity in the context of Art & Culture and institutional engagement thru corporate commitments in Korea - to define and develop a meaningful presence of Cartier in Korea beyond Maison’s creations – sharing values with our wide audience, establishing relationships with various partners and communities, co-creating and delivering impact to our society thru our views, actions, commitments as well as our rich tangible and intangible assets.

The ultimate purpose of our activities is to make our clients, employees, partners and communities to be enriched by engaging with Cartier thru our cultural and corporate initiatives.


To achieve the missions collectively, the person in this role is expected to display strong leadership and commitment to drive the team, to develop members’ talent and expertise for the pursuit of high quality & uncompromised standards and bring impact across as well as beyond the organization. As such, the person is expected to develop a deep understanding about Cartier values and singularity as well as an eye for beauty and what defines contemporary luxury. The person is also expected to demonstrate leadership in exploring innovation and creativity in own responsible area and beyond, developing connections and networks in various fields externally and internally.


Key responsibilities


1. Reinforce Cartier brand equity in the context of institutional commitment in Art & Culture


Develop Fondation Cartier Projects in Korea

  • Identify project opportunities in close links with Cartier HQ and the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain to be able to comprehend the local presence of the Fondation Cartier in Korea
  • Coordinate exhibition production, communication plan and opening events with Fondation Cartier and third parties to ensure the integrity of the project and to leverage visibility towards all audiences; public, press, clients, and internal teams
  • Leverage the visibility of the Fondation Cartier international activities locally


Develop the artistic and cultural engagement in Korea

  • Develop and animate cultural and artistic network of contacts; cultural institutions, artists, collectors and so forth
  • Identify project opportunities to develop the cultural engagement of the Maison inside and outside the retail network
  • Coordinate production, communication plan and opening events with HQ and third parties to ensure the integrity of the project and maximize visibility towards audiences (public, press, clients, and internal teams)
  • Support cultural and artistic training and discovery sessions for internal teams such as marketing, communications, commercial and HR in order to share the cultural engagement of the Maison and connect Cartier teams with local cultural networks


2. Initiate Maison’s institutional commitments – CWI & ESG

  • Propose and implement initiatives to raise awareness of Cartier’s values internally and externally in the context of culture and commitment
  • Foster internally the pride of belonging to the Maison across the organization


3. Oversee Maison’s brand equity in collaboration with Communication Director

  • Ensure consistent and relevant brand image and identity as well as the appropriate corporate image as a First Class Maison in Korea, directly or indirectly thru any form of communications in the name of Cartier Korea when any action comes with Art& Culture/ Corporate initiatives


4. Manage and develop the team

  • Lead and develop a motivated team being able to work across functions, networks and communities
  • Stay agile to the changing environment while keeping the stability of the team and its best performance
  • Live favorably with feedback culture and develop members’ working competences upon their identified strength, expertise, and expectations
  • Support members’ IDP thru clear direction and diligent exchanges
  • Review team’s performance in time with best attention and encouragement

Professional requirement

  • Minimum 12 years of working experience preferably in luxury industry and/or art & culture institutes with communications function included
  • +3 years of professional experience in team managing position
  • Work experience of corporate communications and ESG is a plus
  • Professional proficiency of English language in written and verbal
  • French language proficiency is a plus
