India Affairs Manager

MAIN PURPOSE:

 

Created within the International Commercial Department, the India Affairs Department, is responsible for defining and implementing the strategy and business development of the Indian Diaspora for Cartier. The department will be responsible for creating an ecosystem of influential network of external stake holders to foster the influence of Cartier in the diaspora and implement the strategy of Cartier.

 

As part of the India Affairs department at the International level, reporting to the India Affairs & Strategy Director, the role of the India Affairs Manager is responsible to build and drive the international strategy and business development of the Indian Diaspora for Cartier.

This role will work transversally with international, regional and markets/local teams.

 

The role will require a strong Indian network of political, economic and business connections to be able to build a sustainable business and implement the Cartier strategy. Connections with chambers of commerce, policy makers, embassies, business magnets will be key for the success of this role. The role will lead an extensive study and in depth business intelligence internally at Cartier and externally on the growth potential of the Indian diaspora. This role will lead initiatives to transmit the intelligence and culture of the Indian Diaspora and India internally for all key stakeholders of the business in the Maison.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build a strong external network of the Indian community at political, economic and business levels to create an influential external ecosystem: developing connections with embassies, chambers of commerce, influential political heads to develop Cartier, specially in countries with high-potential Indian diaspora.

 

Build in-depth business intelligence on Indian diaspora and Indian market piloting a state of the nation with internal Cartier data and external research, working with an external agency.

 

Plan and deploy internal branding action plans to foster knowledge on Indian diaspora internally at Cartier at the international, regional and market levels.

 

Build & implement an international strategy & business plan for the Indian Diaspora development worldwide.

 

Build a network of partners from other equivalent high-end businesses to develop the Cartier business

Work with markets to develop a strong network of influential Indians UHNWIs/HNWIs of the Indian diaspora to recruit new clients and image advocates.

 

Work on transversal action plans with internal teams: commercial, marketing & communication, merchandising, retail, VIP experience, events, patrimony etc.

Develop business with Indian diaspora with markets and regions.

 

 

PROFILE:

Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in business development in the Luxury industry

University Graduate/ Business School degree holder

Well-connected profile in the Indian diaspora with a strong influential political, economic and business network

International profile with an Indian cultural background and specialization in the Indian market and Indian diaspora

Strategic and business-oriented mindset

Good understanding of luxury clients and luxury business as well as good understanding of retail

Excellent Communication skills and strong team spirit

Agility to adapt to various environments and excellent analytical skills

Very good command of Microsoft Office

English fluent and written, French spoken will be an added value
