OVERVIEW: The primary responsibility of the Store Planning Manager is to manage the shop-in-shop (Espace) implementation process from initial layout concept through opening, ensuring Cartier standards and aesthetics are maintained.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather pertinent store information for approval and design of shop-in-shops
  • Provide layout sketches, budget estimates and timing to evaluate project feasibility
  • Prepare cost reports and updates them regularly through-out the project
  • Track costs against budget.
  • Coordinate internal review and approvals of design drawings and costs
  • Review, redline and approve all construction documents and shop drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Review and level vendor’s bids making sure all project elements are reflected in costs and pricing is within allocated budget. Award project accordingly
  • Maintain project files up to date
  • Monitor projects time frame to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the visual team to ensure graphics and display materials are ordered and delivered on time for the store opening.
  • Manage direct vendors orders
  • Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that can adversely impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity on multiple projects
  • Conduct site visits, field reports and punchlists to ensure quality of building construction and millwork installation are up to standards. Identify issues and ensure follow-up to rectify them.
  • Finalize financial accounts closure at end of each project
  • Coordinate shop-in-shop maintenance and repairs with vendors and partners

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience. Retail design/ planning experience in Luxury industry is preferred.
  • Design/architecture background demonstrating knowledge of multiple creative and technical disciplines
  • Creative vision centered on design and architecture
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction documents
  • Knowledge of basic planning principles and commonly used concepts and practices in the industry including basic knowledge of building codes and ADA
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and through drawings and sketches
  • Ability to work within allocated budgets
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Microsoft Office (Power point, Word, Excel)
  • Photoshop
  • AutoCad knowledge a must
