Job mission
The Senior Product Manager, Watches is responsible for supporting the Watch Marketing Director in the development of the North America marketing strategy and launch plan based on category objectives (growth/turnover of the category). This position’s key responsibilities lie in managing and leading all transversal projects and on developing the High-End business (including the Collector’s offer) in North America.
Main accountabilities/objective of the position
Product Strategy & Transversal Project Management:
- Support the Marketing Director in defining the Watch Action Plan for North America by developing 360◦ strategic plans for growing the high-end category.
- Set the client & sales objectives for the high-end business in collaboration with the Marketing Director and the Prestige team.
- Partner with key cross-functional stakeholders (Communications, Learning & Development, Commercial, Visual Merchandising, Merchandising, etc.) to define and implement plans to reach qualitative and quantitative objectives.
- Take the lead on all transversal projects including, but not limited to, Watch Ambassador Community, Watch Advocacy Strategy, Marketing Service initiatives and straps management.
Manage & Drive High-End Watch Category:
- Analyze sales and prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports including clear actions to reach the commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with the High-End team to define programs to drive sell-out and ensure a seamless flow of communication across network.
- In collaboration with Merchandising, define and update sales forecasts and assortments for novelties and in-range products.
- Responsible for all new products, pricing and communication to the Retail Division.
- Develop effective sales tools to support the Commercial teams: Product launch plan, product news, event briefing packets, selling arguments, training materials and any other initiatives to help drive sales.
- Assist and support for all high-end events and trainings and act as a referent for all technical and storytelling knowledge on this segment.
- Partner with Learning & Transformation on the creation of training materials and programs through the sharing of watch specific, technical and industry knowledge.
Market Intelligence & Business Development:
- Monitor and report on market trends and competition activities (new product launches, existing lines performance, prices, communication, client service, etc.).
- Identify and recommend opportunities for enhancing Cartier’s services and product offering including potential product development for the North American market.
- Partner with HQ on developing products to fill voids in current offering and market exclusives.
Operational Product Management:
- Manage operational responsibilities including Prestige stock lists, MyAtlas postings, straps offer updates, etc.
- Build and maintain marketing tools relating to High-End (Launch Plan, Mapping Book, etc.)
- Product news database update.
- Logistics coordination for events, seminars, and press.
- Manage and reply to all network / HQ requests.
- Support in soliciting qualitative feedback from the Commercial teams when needed.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of industry experience (Product/Category Management and Marketing)
- Previous experience in the luxury watch industry
- Client facing experience: the ability to engage with VIP clients & watch collectors
- Skilled in building 360◦ marketing plans and product briefs
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize based on business objectives
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills
- Proactivity and initiative with regards to project management and in helping to develop watch knowledge in the commercial population
- Personal skills: Communication/ Influencing; Problem solving / thought leadership
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (especially in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and PowerBI is a plus
Expected base salary range: $105,000- $150,000
Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience
