Jeweler/Diagnostician, After-Sales Service

The After-Sales Service Jeweler will be responsible for examining all incoming client and stock repairs pieces in the Workshop. Upon receipt, the Jeweler will assess when repair servicing is needed and will systematically update the information in SAP.

 

When capacity is needed the Jeweler will also perform quality control, jewelry repair for client and stock repair following quality brand standards.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Diagnosis/ Quality Control:

  • Examine merchandise for defects in finish and functionality in accordance with brand standards and recommend the appropriate repair servicing that is needed.
  • Systematically enter the item condition, repair details and cost estimate in SAP using the proper system codes and while ensuring adherence to the lead time established by the brand.
  • Quality control as needed.

 

Jewelry repair:

  • Repair incoming jewelry pieces for client and stock according to the brand standards (18K Gold and Platinum)
  • Enter and move each pieces in SAP using the right code
  • Ensure to follow security, health and safety standards procedures
  • Work with your dedicated jewelry technical lead
  • Responsible for assigned precious metal bank

 

Extra Project as needed:

  • Participate in the continuous process improvement of the workshop
  • Participate in cleaning and maintaining the workshop
  •  

 

Education:

  • Jewelry manufacturing diploma or similar experience and jewelry repair experience
  • Certification or accreditation from a Technical or Gemological institution a plus or Associates degree

 

Preferred experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fine jewelry repair and/or manufacturing
  • SAP experience is a plus

 

Technical skills/abilities:               

  • Bench Jewelry repair/manufacturing experience
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate issues with other departments and help to solve problems
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and SAP required

 

Personal skills:

  • Capable of multi-tasking
  • Ability to manage small projects
