Director, Total Rewards Job Description

Cartier North America

The Director of Total Rewards will report into the VP of Human Resources for Cartier North America, and partner closely with Cartier International Total Rewards, Cartier International Human Resources and Richemont North America Total Rewards team, to lead Cartier North America Total Reward initiatives. 

 

As a member of the Cartier North America HR Leadership Team, you will develop a total rewards strategy designed to attract and retain talents.  This newly created role will also collaborate closely with Talent Recruitment, HR Business Partners, Finance and Senior Leadership.  

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Total Rewards programs aligned with business strategy
  • Anticipate marketplace trends; provide benchmarks and analyses related to internal and external trends and competitive positioning
  • Create a Rewards communication strategy for Cartier North America
  • Lead compensation programs and initiatives across Cartier North America region
  • Work cross functionally on key Rewards projects
  • Provide advice to HR Business Partners on guidelines and job evaluation and partner on compensation decisions
  • Support the performance review process with key stakeholders
  • Oversee and communicate benefits for the maison, consistent with Regional Benefits Strategy

Experience and Qualifications

  • Prior experience in establishing a pay for performance rewards culture
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Total Rewards, with experience supporting client groups
  • Experience working in a global/matrix organization
  • Effective communicator with ability to collaborate and influence at all levels in the organization
  • Consultative in approach with the business and key stakeholders
  • Prior experience designing compensation plans (fixed and variable)
  • Strong data analytics skills
  • Hands on role which requires strong understanding of the field and luxury retail environment in designing rewards programs suited to the Maison ambitions
  • Strong knowledge of HR related policies and compliance requirements
