Business Analyst - 5th Avenue Mansion

Mansion Performance Reporting and Analysis


  • Responsible for Mansion reporting and analysis of sales, product, sales associate and client type performance, including, but not limited to the following:   
  • Overall Mansion sales, sales by floor.
  • Sales by product category, collection, best-sellers, novelties and price stratification.
  • Overall sales by individual sales associate, cross-selling, partnerships, client development objectives.
  • Sales by client group; local, domestic tourist and international tourist.
  • Ad hoc analysis to develop and monitor impact of specific boutique actions including, but not limited to product placement, incentives, enhanced hospitality and client experiences.
  • Ad hoc projects to serve the Mansion and EXCO.
  • Serve as liaison with retail development performance team


Forecasting, Modeling

  • Set monthly targets by category and sales associate taking into consideration events, media activity and novelties.
  • Support weekly forecasting through the management of the sales pipeline and analysis of the monthly trend.
  • Develop modeling tool to support longer-term sales forecasting, staffing needs, capital expenditures and operational needs (3-5 year outlook).
  • Oversee management of commission tool.


Operational Efficiency

  • Gather relevant data to assess productivity and staffing needs for the logistics, inventory control, administrative and care service teams.
  • Work with management to identify areas for operational improvement. Research, assess and provide recommendations.

Management and Reporting of External Intelligence

  • Gather relevant data related to tourism trends in New York City.
  • Monitor 5th Avenue and NYC retail environment.
  • Monitor luxury competitors and trends in the retail space.
  • Partner with management to assess and provide feedback on retail tools and systems.

Mansion Client Development Partnership

  • Partner with VIE in the management of CRM activities including, but not limited to the following:
  • Management of the database including the merging and reassignment of clients.
  • Management of active and sleeping clients through targeted list generation, analysis of transaction history and the segmentation of clients for specific
  • outreach opportunities.
  • Management and monitoring of sales associate performance related to monthly outreach objectives, new and existing client growth and data capture.
  • Serve as liaison with the corporate CRM team.




  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in an analytical role.
  • Previous experience with a luxury retailer desired with exposure to the commercial and operational areas of the business.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP, specifically CRM and Data Warehouse applications.
  • Ability to learn new software and programs.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to conceptualize business issues, formulate hypothesis and translate data into relevant business opportunities.
