MAIN PURPOSE

Reporting to Marketing & Communication Director, the Head of Communication is responsible for leading Media, Digital, Events and Press/influencer, developing and implementing the local communication strategy to grow visibility, desirability and sales. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Definition and implementation of the strategic plan for Communication

  • Based on international guidelines, results analysis, competitive context – trends and insights, input from marketing, boutiques insights and in collaboration with his/her team, identifies new opportunities to develop visibility, desirability and sales
  • Validates the communication strategic vision and its action plan with the Marketing & Communication Director
  • Builds local powerful communication campaigns (Media/Event/Press/Influencers) for all touchpoints (online and offline)
  • Ensures coordination and alignment with the Global Communication teams

 

Leading the Media strategy on/off line

  • Maximizes brand presence and share of voice on various channels and among right audiences
  • Plans, validates, executes and measures media strategic plans and in collaboration with the Media agency to boost brand awareness and engage targeted audiences
  • Helps to challenge media agencies to ensure premium positions in the best and most visible supports and identifies new opportunities
  • Ensures the bridge between PR team activities and Media Team to increase exposure ratio vs. media spending
     

Leading the management of Press & Influencer strategy

  • Drives the vision, the editorial and influencers strategy
  • Maximizes brand editorial leadership on various channels (e.g. print, web, social media, influencer)
  • Helps to negotiate interviews and to elaborate deep feature stories to promote the Maison and its products/services/key messages
  • Leads the reports on press campaigns’ results (value and volume) and the market competition analysis (print, social media, influencers)

Leading the management of Event strategy to create the best experiences

  • Drives the Event strategy roadmap both in terms of Image and Client Retail experience, and the treatment strategy for each audience (influencers, clients, VIP clients, business partners), exploring different solutions from physical to digital and pushing out of the box innovative approach.
  • Controls and follows-up the budget, the production planning, the image/quality standards and the ROI objectives for each activation
  • Provides input on the concept, the creative ideas, the writing of the brief on strategic initiatives

 

 

 

Foster Digital transformation

 

  • Instills digital approach and culture into the team/organization, to meet changing business and market requirements
  • Develops most effective digital strategies and digital channels to grow brand awareness and increases sales
  • Identifies trends and insights, pioneers and challenges the status quo to promptly react and build innovative clients experiences
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, providing thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate and in alignment with HQ

 

 

Elaborating and monitoring of the communication budget

  • Defines and manages the right budget to succeed and defines the annual split
  • Guarantees the respect and the consolidation of budget at the end of fiscal

 

Management of the Communication team

  • Is responsible for recruitment, performance management  and feedback processes, succession planning and coaching of his/her PR/Media/Digital/event teams

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Background

At least 10 years of experience in communication within luxury, fashion or beauty multinational companies.
Preferable previous international experience and/or in Corporate communication roles.

Language

Italian is a mandatory

English professional knowledge
French is a very important plus
