Jewellery Polisher

Fixed Term Contract until the end of March 2025

 

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

The Jewellery Polisher will report to the EAW Workshop Manager and support both the Lead Polisher and the workshop team.

The main responsibility will be to polish, refinish and clean gold and platinum repairs, alterations and production orders that flow through our workshop on a daily basis. Experience in rhodium plating will also be necessary. You will work alongside the Lead Polisher to organise the work flow and meet daily targets.

  • Polishing and cleaning of repairs, alterations and production orders
  • Rhodium plating
  • Making sure the daily practices within the polishing workshop are safe and compliant
  • Working with the team to make sure that our high quality standards are continuously met.
  • Perform interim quality control of your own work before the products are transferred into final control
  • As part of the team, work together to meet daily targets and keep the workflow moving efficiently
  • Keeping the workshop area clean, you apply and ensure all health and safety compliance requirements are met

 

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • Background in High Jewellery production, capable of working to a very high standard
  • Full understanding of all polishing techniques (including threading) and have a general understanding of how jewellery is manufactured and how various mechanisms work  
  • Precise and meticulous, always strives for perfection
  • Good communication skills and work well as a team.
  • Ability  to adapt and make changes to workflow in order to prioritise urgent orders
  • Strong self-initiation in planning and problem solving
  • Traditionally trained jewellery polisher
  • Previous experience working in a high jewellery workshop
  • Experience working with gold, platinum and precious gemstones
