POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Visual Merchandising Manager/ Assistant Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for covering the VM operations for HK and Macau (Boutique and Specialists Network). He/She will be the contact between headquarter, different departments and vendors. According to Maison's standard, He/She is responsible for planning the successful implementation of visual merchandising, marketing activities, and in-boutique event organization. He/She will bring her VM expertise to train the boutique team to maintain VM display up to a high standard.

 

HIERARCHICAL REPORT

 

The Visual Merchandising Manager/ Assistant Visual Merchandising Manager reports to the Senior Visual Merchandising Manager.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assist to Senior Visual Merchandising Manager on VM strategy, boutique opening/ renovation projects, visual merchandising setups and pop-in or pop-up projects.
  • Frequently visit boutiques / POS to make sure they follow Cartier standards. 
  • Prepare VM animation plan and provide training to boutique VM ambassadors.
  • Prepare VM report and defect report summary require after each visit.
  • Closely working with HK and Macau retail team to incorporate their needs to fit the brand specifications and guidelines.
  • Follow up on all invoices processing and provide a clear payment summary.
  • Responsible for supporting the team administrative capacity and managing the filing and information database.
  • Based on headquarter VM News, he/she needs to prepare/propose necessary display elements to all markets.  Follow up with shipment and delivery schedule.
  • Work closely with the contractor on animation design, production and installation.
  • Liaise with local florist regarding flower arrangements for boutique daily use.
  • Follow up on all visuals changes production and installation.
  • Support sales events, pop-in or pop-up animations with the event team.
  • Prepare product display VM zoning plan (liaise with Store Design Planning team and Commercial team) for collection launch or sales event.
  • To imply CSR initiatives and create sustainability-conscious among all VM projects.

 

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

 

  • Education :
    • University graduate in marketing/ design management related
  • Experience :
    • 5 years working experience in luxury retail or equivalent,
    • Knowledge of both Retail and Wholesale networks is appreciated.
  • Specific competencies :
    • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, quick thinking, anticipation and decision making.
    • Strong in problem-solving skills, goal & deadline-oriented
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills. Good sense of luxury aesthetics and retail operations. 
    • Understanding the visual merchandising industry and materials, especially Watches & Jewellery displays.
    • Strong knowledge of VM production – window, facade, pop-in or pop-up setup. 
    • Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel, Teams; Design software – Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, literate in Sketchup, Premier cut pro, AUTOCAD.
