POSITION SUMMARY

 

Reporting to Retail Director, the role entails providing support and participating in the development of a High-End Jewelry & Watch merchandising plan for Hong Kong and Macau and ensure it is in line with the brand's identity and goals. The individual will be required to enhance the supply chain and maintain adequate stock levels in accordance with retail’s strategic direction and commercial guidelines. The ideal candidate must possess a thorough comprehension of product strategy to effectively execute the merchandising plan, ultimately fostering business expansion and maximizing efficiency through proper stock allocation.

                             

                                                                                                                                  

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Merchandising and Stock Planning:

  • Develop and execute a merchandising strategy for High-End Jewelry & Watches.

  • Collaborate with the Regional HJ merchandising team to determine the appropriate categories to allocate to Hong Kong and Macau at the optimal return.

  • Monitor stock levels and devise strategies to enhance turnover rates and reduce slow-moving items.

  • Suggest and establish a prestigious network assortment in partnership with the retail team and evaluate proposals for stock rebalancing across boutiques based on assortment criteria.

  • Regularly assess assortments based on qualitative feedback, market trends, boutique requests, and provide continuous product performance analysis.

  • Supervise stock requests and processes, address any merchandising issues, and propose solutions in coordination with the Regional HJ team.

  • Custodian of framework on stock allocation and planning by precision to manage multi-stakeholders need whilst optimizing HE visibility and business opportunities for Maison.

  • Governance of transfer process to achieve optimal efficiency with safety and security.

  • Ensure adoption and proficiency is using Plaza and new tools to sell without physical stock.

  • Evaluate and suggest enhancements to stock turnaround times as needed to meet business requirements.

  • Optimize logistics flows, shipments, and processes, and seek opportunities for ongoing improvements to minimize lead times.

  • Review stock assortment to ensure top-notch quality, develop retro planning, and oversee stock delivery and returns.

 

Sales Analysis, Commercial Insights and Forecasts and data maintenance:

  • Robust annual budgeting with comprehensive breakdowns, by BTQs, by product categories, source of business/ clients on a quarterly basis and utilized recurring/event sales data breakdowns to forecast the 3-year plan.

  • Monitored actual sales and forecasts closely, working in conjunction with the retail and financial teams to adjust monthly sales estimation.

  • Monitor, analyze, and timely communicate the HE sales and inventory performance metrics, offer valuable insights and recommend action plans as needed.

  • Collaborate closely with the Regional High Jewelry team to forecast production of new products.

  • Analyze the high-end market trends, assess customer feedback and preferences to optimize high-end business opportunities and notify about potential risks or shifts in trends with proposed action plans to maximize sales opportunities.

  • Consistently review and improve the presentation of dashboard and business reports.

  • Keep a close eye on invoicing and pending sales and follow up accordingly and bridge the “To-go” gap with new business opportunities by working closely with SAs to identify and maintain relationships with high-net-worth clients including reconnecting with active clients.

  • Organize and deliver training sessions on new products for frontline colleagues at boutiques prior to high-end events.

 

Event & People management:

  • Assist the local market in organizing local, regional, and international HJ events.

  • Create and execute stock management plans to guarantee adequate stock levels for events.

  • Work closely with the regional HJ team to coordinate stock support for events and streamline stock logistics.

  • Supervise team members to carry out merchandising tasks efficiently and effectively.

  • Foster collaboration between the team, retail office, and boutiques to achieve Sales Targets seamlessly.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain with a background in Financial, Statistics, Quantitative Methods, or Mathematics

  • Over 12 years of experience in commercial, management, or merchandising roles, preferably in MNC or luxury sectors

  • Thorough understanding of the luxury Jewelry industry, including trends and competitor landscape

  • Strong numerical skills with a commercial retail mindset

  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset

  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines under pressure

  • Quick-thinking and adept at navigating complex stock situations

  • Good awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Google Looker

  • Excellent at creating PowerPoint presentations
