The Business Insights and Intelligence Manager will be accountable for leading the development of business intelligence and insight tools that will inform strategy and proposition development for Travel retail worldwide.

The successful applicant will own the development of business insight tools that support our business decisions.

Key elements of this role will be to design the Travel Retail Data strategy, and action plan.

To succeed in this post, the Business Insights and Intelligence Manager will possess strong commercial acumen, financial & analytical skills; along with the capability to engage at a very senior level within and outside the company.




Macroeconomics, Consumer & Innovation trends

  • Develop hyper-awareness of the macro-environment, tourism and Travel industry trends, travelers' luxury consumption trends and purchasing habits
  • Identify, gather, and consolidate hindsight and foresight from Cartier internal and external sources (Economists, Consultants, industry Experts etc.)
  • Combine, process, articulate and share macroeconomic dynamics and identified innovation trends
  • Solid knowledge of the APAC region and Mainland China
  • Consumer Insights 


Design Travel Retail data platform

  • In depth understanding of all the data sources (internal / external) needed to organize data center for Cartier Travel Retail
  • Define planning and deliver data & analytics roadmaps, identifying strategic opportunities 
  • Support the data analytics team(s)
  • Give perspectives with developing predictive models

Collaborate to the thinking & development of the Travel Retail Strategy

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives, strategic priorities, and propose solutions.
  • Participate to the elaboration of any strategic documents




Markets Coordination

  • Organize sharing of information between markets, prepare and share regional macroeconomics & innovation trends reports, competitive intelligence & best practice sharing
  • Organize panels / seminars with external experts and Cartier Regional and Market Executives to share macroeconomics and innovation trends
  • Animate a community of external experts



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Business analysis, Data analytics, Marketing or related disciplines.
  • 8 years of relevant experience in business analysis, data analytics or market insights, preferably with brands related to travel retail or luxury market.
  • Strong analytical skills and highly advanced abilities with data analysis and visualization tools (such as Excel, Access, Power BI, SAP Analytics)
  • Excellent skills in translating data & analysis into business/marketing recommendations
  • Ability to work independantly in a fast-paced and complex business environment, with strong business acumen
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, strong attention to detail
  • Team player, Able to work with all levels of people, including senior management
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written) and Chinese (reading) is a must
