Regional HJ Business & Talent Development Director

POSITION SUMMARY
The High Jewellery Regional Business & Talent Development Director is to support the teams in markets to grow the High Jewellery segment, enhance business relations, grow HJ community, develop strategic partnership and offer events support.
The High Jewellery Regional Business & Talent Development Director reports to the High Jewellery Regional Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct the development and growth of HJ Business
- Provide direction and high level strategies for Asia to achieve Regional HJ target
- Strategize with markets to ensure good performance and assist with achieving set business objectives, budgets and estimates
- Design and develop regional seminars for HJ coordinators to formulate an agile platform to share synergies and expertise (including competition intelligence)
- Strategize with market HJ and retail departments in reaching HJ sales target through recurring sales and event activations with strategic direction
Client Database Management
- Leverage regional client database with efficiency to enhance HJ business
- Direct client segmentation strategies with local market with regional focus
Building Client relations
- Strategize action plan (together with market heads) to achieve business objectives
- Initiate, manage and maintain contact with regional third parties to further develop and grow HJ business in the region
Building Business relations – Sales Expert community development
- Provide direction on HJ community development working together with market heads with concrete action plan
- Implement annual think tank / boot camp with market management to strategize new plans to build business
- Give direction for an encompassing and targeted booster program to raise level of competence in areas of jewelry and technical skills, client relationship building, lifestyle experiences (to include trainings on art, auction, GIA)
Information and Intelligence sharing
- Share and follow-up of the international HJ strategy within countries
- Share competitive intelligence (on a regional level)
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration – Marketing or equivalent is preferred
- 10+ years working experience in marketing and business development, either luxury field or other high-end industry
- Strong analytical skills, details oriented and positive work attitude
- Strong negotiation skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft office, AS400 would be a plus
- English (mandatory), Cantonese (required), Mandarin (required). French (if possible)
- Proactive in attaining market, customer and competitor knowledge
- Able to multi-task, reliable, positive attitude and able to work under pressure
- Ability to work well with different cultures and enjoy work/travelling
