POSITION SUMMARY
- The Event Director is responsible for all aspects of Event strategy for Hong Kong & Macau, including:
- Provide a long-term vision for Cartier’s events,
- Ensure 360 cross-team collaboration for successful event implementation
- Ensure excellence in execution, as aligned with Cartier’s brand image
- Manage a team of 3 people
HIERARCHICAL REPORT
The Event Director reports to Marketing, Client & Communication Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- STRATEGIC PLANNING
- Elaborate and propose long-term event objectives & strategy, as part of the Market Annual Strategic Plan (incl. Commercial / Product-related events but also Image-related / Corporate events).
- Translate centrally developed event strategy & concept to local context.
- Ensure strong creativity & new-in market are integrated in all proposals.
- EVENT IMPLEMENTATION
- Manage event development and organization (launch production, coordinate event calendar …).
- Ensure all aspects of the events are delivered on time an on-budget.
- Ensure high-quality and flawless execution.
- CROSS-TEAM PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- As project lead, coordinate with Marketing & Communication team members to ensure cohesive 360 alignment
- When relevant, work closely with internal counterparts to get operational insights and ensure strong support for the events (Commercial departments, Boutique Managers and Sales Associates)
- TEAM & AGENCY MANAGEMENT
- Lead & manage the event team
- Propose external agencies. Manage contractors portfolio.
- MARKET INTELLIGENCE
- Build on process for a sustained competitive intelligence & share the knowledge with all relevant departments.
PROFILE
- Education :
- University graduate
- Experience :
- Min. 15 years of event experience, preferably with a global luxury company
- Track record of managing sizeable Luxury event
- 5 years in senior management with solid experience in leading a team
- Specific Competencies :
- Strong creative mindset, willing to embrace change and drive innovation
- Good communication skills: ability influence and develop business relationships at all levels of an organization
- Strong project management with experience in planning and delivering big size event projects
- Ability to work in highly complex environment
- Strategic and result-driven with strong leadership skills
- Strong Team player
- High level of integrity
- Languages :
- English (fluent)
- Cantonese (fluent)
