Learning and Development Manager

Reporting to Managing Director and working closely with Regional L&D Manager, you will be responsible for identifying local learning and development needs, providing and delivering adequate solutions to help achieving business strategies and goals through people.




Designing and Delivering Learning Solutions and Strategy


  • Execute regional and international learning strategies and programs by adapting the content to local and market specificities/challenges
  • Work closely with boutique managers, local HR team and department managers to support individual development plans and provide customized learning journeys for all the employees and teams (in class, individual, team or/and digital learning solutions)
  • Collaborate with regional L&D team to continue enhancing current learning offer by changing towards collaborative and experiential workshop based learnings/training
  • Engage with regional teams or external consultants for the implementation of the learning solutions that require skills, expertise and knowledge not available internally
  • Participate in career committees/discussions and adapt learning solutions to best fit individual development, professional growth and progression


Learning Plan Implementation and Delivery


  • Define an annual learning calendar, in alignment with the regional direction and local needs
  • Manage organization and logistics of all learning programs and e-learning platforms (including participants registration in Campus)
  • Deliver appropriate collective and individual development solutions
  • Build and implement comprehensive on-boarding program for all new joiners, including adaptation and delivery of Cartier Induction training
  • Participate in regionally or/and internationally organized Train the trainer sessions to ensure the best local support and delivery of a key learning solutions/trainings
  • Collaborate with local or regional coaches to  ensure learning continuation and further development of individuals/teams


Learning Measurement and Follow Up


  • Implement relevant measures to demonstrate the value of implemented learning solutions (ROI)
  • Collect participants feedback on delivered learning solutions (including digital learning platforms) and ensure regular evolution (when and where necessary)
  • Share regular updates and reports (if available)  with department management on the employees engagement and participation in learning solutions (experiential, in-class and e-learning)


Learning and Development Ambassador


  • Create a learning culture by always engaging the learner and the manager (follow 70-20-10 methodology)
  • Participate actively  in regional and international learning pilot programmes
  • Engage in regular sharing of best practices, learnings and L&D novelties/updates on Yammer or/and other digital platforms


Business Partnership and Budget Management


  • Support regional L&D manager by proposing, planning and regular follow up of  a local L&D budget and ensure the best utilization of the investments
  • Manage partnership with all the key stake holders to ensure that all proposed and implemented learning solutions support both short, and long term company strategy
  • Act as an internal consultant and support in driving organizational change and business transformation




Education and Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in L&D or/and Talent management and facilitation roles
  • Proven track of delivering and facilitating comprehensive learning and development solutions
  • Extensive experience in working in multicultural environment
  • Professional certification/degree in a field (e.g. CPLP) is a plus


Technical Skills / Abilities / Languages


  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Full professional proficient in English (spoken and written)
  • Arabic is a plus

  • Having ability to design, develop and deliver informal and formal learning solutions

  • Being able to analyze development gaps and propose solutions to reduce them
  • Evaluating results against organizational goals and monitoring change


Managing Learning Programs & Evaluating Learning Impact


  • Being able to use metrics and analytics to measure the impact of learning (managing ROI)


Change Management


  • Being capable to transform individuals and teams, and having the ability to support company’s strategy and lead the change
