Learning & Development Manager - UAE & India Market

MAIN PURPOSE
Reporting to the Managing Director UAE & India, the Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is a key referent and business partner to provide support to develop the UAE & India business, our brand equity, and to be the employer of choice. As a business partner, you analyse, design, develop and measure the impact of learning programmes consistent with the business strategy for the UAE & India Commercial and Office populations and will work in close collaboration with the Regional L&D team.

 

KEY MISSIONS

• The L&D manager is part of the UAE Executive Committee and will drive the L&D strategy through collaboration with key stakeholders and will act as a pillar of the UAE subsidiary.

• He/She will develop the UAE & India people agenda through learning activities including the Maison’s knowledge and values, product knowledge, cultural and behavioural skills including emotional intelligence, social learning and collaboration.

• As an executive member of the Career Committee the L&D manager will collaborate on talent development and identify high potentials.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and analyze UAE and India market training needs based on international guidelines on the Maison’s priorities, local business challenges, individual performance appraisals and individual development plans.
• Arbitrate and validate the final needs with local Executive Committee members, Managers and Human Resources.
• In alignment with Cartier MEIA Learning & Development, identify and propose appropriate solutions according to the market needs (in class/self-learning/on-the-job) and the allocated budget.
• Design, develop and deliver blended learning solutions using instructional design methodologies and digital tools to deliver flexible and innovative learning journeys.

• Monitor the effectiveness and business impact of learning for the UAE & India market and show return on investment using recognised evaluation models.

• Define the learning calendar in alignment with Cartier MEIA Learning & Development.

• Design and deliver learning and development activities that advance employee competencies and support individual development plans, performance appraisals and career pathways.
• Drive a learning culture of continuous professional development and self-directed learning, utilising learning and digital internal and external platforms.

 

PROFILE
Education:
• Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) Level 5 in Learning & Development or equivalent.

• Qualified to bachelor’s degree level, learning and psychology qualifications will be advantageous.

 

Required experience:
• 8 years of experience in a Learning & Development Management role within the luxury industry.
• 2 years of people management experience.

 

Technical Skills and Competencies:
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital platforms, including digital learning design.
• Learning strategy design, implementation and collaboration.
• Full proficiency in English language.

• Confident in both written and spoken communication with the ability to present at Executive level.
• Coaching skills, project and change management.
• Instructional design, development and training facilitation delivery for different learning methodologies.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

 

IMPACT & AUTONOMY
- Defines recommendations and proposes optimization solutions in a less structured environment. Subject to broad practices and procedures covered by functional policies, achievement of a circumscribed operational activity, and to managerial direction. Freedom in the use of the means to achieve 3-6 months projects
