MAIN PURPOSE

 

The Visual Merchandising Intern’s primary mission is to assist the Cartier Visual Merchandising Specialist in its administrative/office tasks. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and developing visual guidelines.

It’s crucial to provide support to the VM specialist to ensure consistency, quality and sophistication of the VM plan roll out.

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Entering client orders in the different platforms (animations, themes, boutique/specialist PLV, PLV replenishment, etc).

 

  • Handling new espace orders (PLV, iconographies, USB for LCD screens, customs documentation, etc).

 

  • Sending VM Guidelines to clients for upcoming themes/animations.

 

Involved in communication regarding animation installations (i.e.: boutique window layout, date of installation, etc).

 

  • Following up/request photos from clients of theme/animation set-ups once complete.

 

  • Placing and tracking visual orders (duratrans, window stickers, posters, iconographies, fragrance HPP’s, etc.).

 

  • Entering monthly invoices in VM Tracking file.

 

  • Coordinating and preparing FedEx shipments: Ship/Receive VM packages (i.e.: Samples, Iconography orders, etc)

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION

  • BS degree in visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, exhibition design, visual communications or similar.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Interest in the field of visual merchandising, including interior design (window displays, interior displays and space utilization).
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual merchandising, a keen eye for aesthetics, and excellent communication skills.  

TECHNICAL SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Photoshop, illustrator, or other visual design tools.

 

PERSONAL SKILLS

 

  • Pro-active and dynamic.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Communication (written and verbal).
  • Planning & organizational (ability to prioritize and plan work activities, ability to multi-task).
  • Time management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong professional with analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize.
