Project Manager Store Design Planning & Construction (LAC)

Reports to: Regional Manager of Store Design & Planning

 

MAIN PURPOSE

Overview: As part of the South America regional SDP team lead from Miami and based in Miami, Mexico City and Sao Paulo; the Project Manager SDP & Construction is responsible for the management of the activities related to the development and execution of boutiques and specialists’ points of sale in Latin America and the Caribbean. The project manager will also be responsible for the management of the correct maintenance and improvements of all the network.  This role provides support in transversal projects within the entire South American Region.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate the entire projects cycle from conception to ensure timely delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, planning, bidding, award, technical development, execution, procurement, handover and close out process associated with project.
  • The project manager will be responsible for coordinating activities related to the planning and execution of maintenance and design improvements projects for boutiques and points of sales: watch and fragrance specialists.
  • Responsible for organizing internal and external communications between regional and international SDP teams, project stake holder leadership team, external consultants and interdepartmental communications.
  • Responsible for direct procurement of all own sourced items to ensure on time delivery and installation, creation of purchase orders and budget control.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining master plan schedules per project.
  • Responsible for cost control and providing updates on a regular basis.
  • The project manager will support the entire region in transversal projects such as corporate social responsibility projects, administrative tasks and, if needed, local implementation of visual merchandising initiatives.
  • The project manager will be required to travel 20% of the time.
  • Geographical area under responsibility: Latin America & Caribbean

 

JOB PROFILE

  • Education: BA/BS in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field is desired.

Required Experience: 

  • 4-5 years of retail store planning & construction management in high end retail desirably.
  • Design and construction experience in the LAC market.

Technical skills / abilities

  • Technology savvy and full proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel/Project, Adobe Photoshop.
