MAIN PURPOSE

As a Maison that has always celebrated bold self-expression, individuality, authenticity, art and passion, Cartier will seek to bring together a community of dynamic and diverse individuals who inherently embody its unique DNA.

Reporting to the Marketing & Communication Director, the incumbent will manage and promote Cartier brand image and brand equity in Thailand through media, public relations, events and content defining the most relevant local strategy, adapting international guidelines and enriching with local relevance.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY RESPONSIBILITY 1: COMMUNICATION STRATEGY & BUDGET

  • Lead and elaborate the communication strategy to elevate brand equity, focusing on visibility & desirability
  • Support the Marketing & Communication Director for the Strategic plan, leading the Communication part
  • Lead implacable execution of the defined communication strategy and proactively propose optimization when needed
  • Promote the brand image at the highest standard when communicating to third parties
  • Represent the brand in local activities when necessary
  • Participate in various events organized by media and non-competing third parties in order to gain access to market insights & networks
  • Consolidate, track and follow up on the overall Communication budget
  • Assist with the consolidation, input and management of Athena

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY 2: TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Manage Communications team in Thailand: Media Manager, Events Manager, PR Manager, Content Assistant Manager
  • Display team leadership, delegate, mentor and coach the team members to make the most of their expertise, and deliver clear, straight-forward and impactful briefs & reports
  • Participate, empower reporting line Manager and/or lead the conversations/meetings with HQ when the topics are related to Media, PR, Event, Content
  • Create/consolidate/polish presentations in the highest standard
  • Communicate expectations before activations of the plans as well as post-activation results
  • Be vocal to Media, PR, Event, Content HQ and Region teams on knowledge on Thai audience and to develop more universal communication campaigns and actions having better resonance with local audience

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY 3: MEDIA

  • Formulate the media strategy according to the brand strategic direction
  • Supervise the Media Manager in media planning & media plan follow-up throughout the year with the media agency
  • Manage relationship with media agency
  • Negotiate and leverage advertising power with impactful editorial, i.e. secure high levels of editorial coverage online / offline

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY 4: EVENTS

  • Build event strategy & calendar taking into account worldwide planning and local strategy
  • Supervise the events manager in organizing the events with the highest standards and in line with brand guideline
  • Work on a 360 degrees approach in all events (pre/post coverage, events report, best practices, key learnings) with details reporting and action plan

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY 5: PR & CELEBRITY/KOL

  • Build PR & celebrity/KOL strategy & calendar
  • Supervise PR Manager to push for pitching and regular press kit dissemination, corporate and commercial coverage, events maximum exposure (international and local activities)…
  • Manage relationship with PR agency
  • Define the influencers strategy based on brand ambitions and needs, leading to the identification of relevant influencers for Cartier locally and specific action plan
  • Maintain constant communication and relationship with celebrity/KOL, key press & chief editors

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY 6: CONTENT

  • Formulate the content strategy according to the brand strategic direction
  • Supervise the content assistant manager in content planning & production throughout the year with the external agencies with the highest standards and in line with brand guideline

 

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • At least 12-15 years of relevant work experience in Communications & PR, including at least 5-year experience in management. Familiarity with luxury / retail segment is preferred
  • Proven track record in adopting 360˚ approach towards Communication plans (offline and online) Proven track record in multi-tasking environment, working in a matrixed organisation
  • Independent and resourceful with excellent network among related fields
  • Fluent in Thai & English 
  • Proficiency in MS office and related analytical tools
  • Strategic mindset & analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal & managerial skills
  • Digitally-savvy, creative, open-minded, enjoys innovative and new challenges
  • Hands-on, results-oriented with good problem-solving skills
