Overview:
As a pivotal leader in Buccellati's expansion across the Asia Pacific ex China, ex South Korea, the Retail Director will drive our retail strategy, ensuring alignment with our brand’s heritage while adapting to local market dynamics. This role is crucial in enhancing our market presence and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
The Retail Director will be reporting to the CEO of Asia Pacific and based in Hong Kong.
Current network is 6 boutiques (2 in HK, 2 in Macau, 1 in Singapore, 1 in Taiwan) with ambitious plans to open more boutiques and countries in the years to come.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Performance Optimization: Drive retail performance by setting ambitious sales targets and crafting innovative action plans that elevate both qualitative and quantitative outcomes.
- KPIs & Incentives: Help design and implement compelling KPIs and incentive programs to motivate teams and enhance sales performance.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of market trends and customer feedback to refine strategic initiatives and drive growth.
- Full accountability for store P&L
Excellence in Retail Operations
- Operational Integrity: Ensure all boutique operations adhere to Buccellati’s standards and best practices, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance.
- Team Management: Lead and inspire boutique teams by establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and a structured approach to performance management. Ensure the tenure of key rituals and regular meetings
- New Boutique and pop-up Launches: Oversee the successful opening of new boutiques, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness and operational efficiency.
- Standardizing Boutique service/ after sales procedures to improve customer’s satisfaction.
Brand Stewardship
- Visual Merchandising: Uphold the luxurious image of Buccellati by ensuring boutiques reflect the brand’s heritage and aesthetic standards.
- Facility Maintenance: Collaborate with visual merchandising teams to maintain boutique facilities, creating an inviting and sophisticated shopping environment.
Talent Development & People Management
- Succession Planning: Recruit, identify and nurture high-potential talent within the boutiques, ensuring a robust pipeline of future managers and HJ experts.
- Employee Engagement: Create a dynamic and supportive work culture that promotes employee retention and satisfaction. Coordinate with HRBP and conduct appraisals, development plans on a yearly basis
- Training & Development: Assess training needs and implement tailored development programs to enhance team competencies and performance. Support Boutique in charge for People management with Richemont APAC entities Employee handbook and BUC Operation manual
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Client Engagement: Develop and execute with all boutiques a comprehensive CRM strategy that fosters long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
- VIP Client Strategy: Implement targeted initiatives to attract and retain VIP clients, enhancing their shopping experience and loyalty to the brand.
- Event Planning: Lead the organization of exclusive retail events that elevate the brand’s profile and engage key clientele.
Job profile:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Luxury Retail Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in luxury retail management, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and inspire diverse teams.
- Problem-Solving Orientation: Strong decision-making capabilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Global Perspective: Experience working in diverse cultural environments, with a willingness to travel across the Asia Pacific region.
