MAIN PURPOSE
The HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring the implementation of health and safety standards across Richemont Japan’s 16 in boutique customer service in addition to 2 customer service platforms. The focus of this role is people safety in boutiques, warehouses, small repair shops, and office buildings and, depending on skill-set, supporting the security function of Richemont Japan. Supporting Richemont Japan with strategic guidance and policy support and insuring that we are compliant with the always changing regulations will be a critical function of this role. This is a newly created role and will require a hands-on professional who can provide sound guidance and leadership however, you will also be supported by a local Physical Security/Health & Safety as well as by HSE professionals in Geneva, CH. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical duties of the HSE Manager will include identifying hazards at the workplace, inspecting sites (or remotely assisting to do so), identifying and informing teams about safety policies, providing technical advice, interpretation, guidance and consultation on HSE matters, and coordinating and/or delivering training programs.

The HSE Manager will be expected to take an active participatory role in gathering and interpreting information relevant for appropriate response, ensuring an appropriate stock of PPE, training plans, and other mitigations efforts to keep our people safe, in conjunction with local market Physical Security and/or Health and Safety guidelines.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
•   More than 5 years of experience in HSE 
•    HSE experience in Cosmetics, Healthcare, FMCG, Chemicals industry is a plus. 
•    Knowledge of Japanese laws and regulations that are applicable to this position such as the Industrial Health and Safety Act, Fire Service Act, and Building Standards Act
•    Excellent interpersonal communication skills
•    Ability to coach and influence individuals both internal and external to the company
•    Bilingual: Japanese/English. Native or near-native Japanese with business level English. Must be highly proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in both languages.
•    Experience working in a global organization 
•    Work well under pressure while managing multiple projects
