Audit Specialist

Role Overview

The audit specialist will be responsible for validating data, analyzing audit findings for trends, identifying issues impacting trade compliance concerns, initiating remediation efforts internally with Richemont’s different business units, and accurately reporting results.  The Specialist should have good working knowledge of audit-related tasks, global trade compliance, and have experience in supply chain logistics.  The Specialist is responsible for supporting Richemont North America, Inc. in all trade compliance audit related activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare:
    • Manage audit results performed by outside counsel.
    • Take part the preparation of Trade Compliance training materials.
    • Prepare and schedule reporting in ACE and SAP in order to prepare monthly audit pools.
    • Prepare, analyze data, and report findings via Excel reports.
    • Retrieving, cataloging, and saving documents from 3rd party service provider web portals.
    • Using the pre-established audit criteria and reporting, create the monthly audit sampling that will be reviewed by outside counsel.

 

  • Strategy:
    • Research historical data in SAP related to Richemont business units and product movement.
    • Collaborate with Product and Trade Compliance team to roll out new initiatives.
    • Update audit logs and audit folders.
    • Perform special tasks as assigned.
    • Record and report performance KPIs on third party service providers
    • Monitor compliance improvement on internal errors reviewed and trained
    • Analyze data pulled on monthly reports for antidumping and countervailing and document findings
    • Conduct audit on monthly consignment invoices; document findings
    • Review monthly entries to identify any SPI codes incorrectly filed; document findings
    • Audit monthly payments made by accounting against invoiced amounts
    • Monitor potential mis-use or over-use of Chapter 98 subheadings
    Contribute to the preparation of post entry corrections such as Prior Disclosures, Protests, and formal entry corrections

 

  • Lead:
    • Participate in the facilitation of Trade Compliance training sessions with Import and Export teams.
    • Working closely with our Customs Broker partners to address errors and remediation efforts.
    • Maintain strong communication and working relationships with internal and external partners.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience and possess a thorough understanding of the assignment of USHTS US Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes.
  • 3+ years of experience in Trade Compliance and/or Supply Chain Logistics.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Access queries and reporting.
  • SAP knowledge and experience is a huge plus.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Detail and quality oriented with strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
    • Promote and maintain productive relationships with internal and external partners.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Overall enthusiasm for departmental success.
