KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop high image and aesthetic standards, with a cohesive blend of creativity and commerciality.
  • Build an adapted Visual Experience strategy in collaboration with markets to bring relevancy and consistency across the region, having in mind the business development.
  • Ensure the elevation of the overall visual experience in all touchpoints and guarantee that the visual identity is always at its optimum, locally relevant, and impactful.
  • Be a key contributor and strategist in openings, retrofits, renovations, and any ephemeral conceptions.  
  • Be a true advocate of a 360-degree approach with all Markets, departments, Central and local teams.
  • Collaborate with Central and Regional SDP on cultural understanding of the different countries and enrich creative knowledge when it comes to regional crafts, local design, and techniques.
  • Develop L&D program dedicated to VM, in close collaboration with Central team to upgrade the level of expertise in the VM and retail population.
  • Oversee and develop a regional Hub of experts.

 

4 PILLARS OF SCOPE

 

1/ PROJECTS

  • Conceive, challenge and follow-up the visual experience of all new projects.
  • Drive and align each market animation calendar for windows, boutique animations, events, and pop-ups.
  • Challenge local VM teams to provide Best-in-Class projects.

 

2/ PEOPLE

  • Shadow new joiners in markets, promote mentoring and buddy program.
  • Encourage sharing practices regionally for optimization and improvement.
  • Develop L&D program for Retail & Wholesale network.
  • Build display training, adapted to local eco-system.

 

3/ RETAIL PROGRAMMING

  • Build the retail programming calendar by markets and boutiques, along with Marketing and Commercial teams and harmonize it regionally.
  • Create consistent and well-integrated animations in boutiques.
  • Coordinate and develop creative visual specific projects.

4/ MUTUALISATION

  • Optimize and mutualize local production to save costs and time for each country.
  • Promote travelling concepts in the region for material recycling, sustainability, and cost efficiency.
  • Support VM operation in emerging markets below critical size.
  • Act as a Regional control tower for PLV stock management and mutualisation of materials for traveling concepts.

 

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENT

  • At least 10 to 15 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Windows displays, Styling, Events, Retail Design, Scenography, Architecture and or Branding in the Luxury goods, Lifestyle, Fashion, Jewelry & Watches, within both Retail and Wholesale.
  • Be customer and result-oriented.
  • Be open-minded, curious, creative with a disciplined eye.
  • Talented to work with creatives while keeping the feet on the ground.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Experienced Team leader, focusing at the same time on team performances, individual talent performances and well-being at work.
  • Strong Communicator with demonstrated cross-cultural experience.
  • Creative leadership, innovative design, technical development, and commercial applicability.
  • Effective facilitator of a collaborative working environment actively encouraging communication across departments.
  • Travel and see new concepts and trends all over the world to get to know what is next and how to be inspired and inspire others.
