Main purpose

Cartier Korea Communication Director is responsible for developing and implementing optimized communication action plans, by managing Media and PR & Creative Contents teams. The personnel is responsible for maintaining the standard of excellence required by Cartier’s image.

The key mission of the position is to reinforce Cartier’s brand equity in overall communication perspectives in Korea - to define and to develop a meaningful presence of the Maison in the country. The ultimate purpose of our activities is to make our clients, employees, partners and communities to be engaged with Cartier upon its creativity, beauty, passion, pleasure and curiosity.

 

To achieve the missions, the person in this role is expected to display strong leadership and commitment to drive teams for excellence on the job and to develop members’ talent and expertise for the pursuit of high quality & uncompromised standards. As such, the person is expected to develop a deep understanding about Cartier values and singularity as well as an eye for beauty and what defines the luxury of our  time. The person leads innovation and creativity in and beyond own responsible area, enhancing collaboration among other stake-holders in the office and developing connections and networks in various fields externally and internally.

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

1. Reinforce Cartier brand equity upon central communication strategy by local business specificities

 

Strategize Maison’s storytelling at all aspects

Define optimal way of communications upon local PR strategy enhancing cultural relevance towards local audience

Identify clear needs for local adaptation illustrating the most appropriate story of our Maison’s creations

Refine the strategy of press & public relations management as a market leader

Maximize organic visibility of the Maison in general by the due respect to Cartier from media partners being based on mutual appreciation

 

Bolster Cartier communication activities with more relevance towards local audience

Improve the team’s production capability by full leverage of Maison status in the market and diligent search of best-in-class business partners for creative contents

Be more proactive, creative and innovative for local contents management around the way of optimized working as well as strategic approach

Make sure our local creative production profoundly being consistent with central development by careful communications

 

Reinforce one’s own networks around press partners, circle of people of influence and friends of the Maison by one’s established presence in the market

Represent the Maison in Korea specifically upon best press relationship

Enrich the overall relationship with PoI & FoM upon direct management over talents

Expand the territory of PoI & FoM upon the rule of best fit to the Maison being based on the principle, quality over quantity

 

 

2. Optimize Maison’s visibility at all touchpoints

 

Propose the best media investment plan guaranteeing first-class Maison status

Ensure Maison’s highest & uncompromised standard for media positioning at all times and occasions

Analyze efficiency and efficacy of our media investment in order to reinforce Maison’s leading position under the most appropriate circumstances

Rationalize all media investment upon sound judgement and best negotiation

Lead the market by new business opportunity identification under fast-changing media landscape

Reassure the due respect to the Maison from media partners by mutual appreciation about businesses

 

 

3. Oversee Maison’s brand equity in collaboration with Corporate Initiatives Director

 

Ensure consistent and relevant brand image and identity as well as the appropriate corporate image as a First Class Maison in Korea, directly or indirectly through any form of communications in the name of Cartier

Take the lead role upon any case of risk management especially coming with brand image & reputation

 

 

4. Manage and monitor communications investment for overall business purpose upon cross-functional optimization

 

Strategize A&P investment planning upon business anticipation through good engagement with all key-stake-holders

Make sure every single steps of all the investment process being compliant with group policy & rule

Analyze the overall performance of each action financed by A&P and share the reports in timely manner with key-stake-holders for better improvement

 

 

5. Lead & develop a motivated team being able to work across functions, networks and communities

 

Stay agile to the changing environment while keeping the stability of the team and its best performance

Live favorably with feedback culture and develop members’ working competences upon their identified strength, expertise, and expectations

Support members’ individual development plan(IDP) through clear direction and diligent exchanges

Review team’s performance in time with best attention and encouragement

7. Professional requirement

 

+17 years of working experience preferably in luxury industry with communication function included

+5 years of professional experience in team managing position

Work experience of risk management is a plus

Professional proficiency of English language in written and verbal

French language proficiency is a plus
